- This fist edition was published in 6 variants: A: with 14 unlettered maps B: with 14 lettered maps C: with 14 lettered and 14 unlettered maps D: with 14 unlettered maps, text and E: with 14 lettered maps, text and questionaires F: with 14 lettered and 14 unlettered maps, text and questionnaires A letter (A-F) on the front cover was used to indicate the variant. Its likely that variant F was the only regular variant after the first edition. No other variants are mentioned after Brinkman 1910.The letter indication was abolished after the first four editions. Occasional a variant without text was published (Prop A##d).
